Join us for the Women-Led, Women-Owned Monthly Series, spotlighting remarkable women-owned and women-led organizations and businesses in South Salt Lake. This series offers a unique opportunity to learn from inspiring leaders, network with community members, and support your local businesses and organizations.

This month features an exclusive tour led by Kelli Meranda, Executive Director of Promise South Salt Lake. Promise South Salt Lake’s work in education strengthens the workforce by providing services to anyone who lives, works, worships, or educates in the city. Their goal is to ensure that 100% of South Salt Lake youth graduate high school and enter the workforce with the skills necessary to be quality employees. By offering safe afterschool spaces, Promise South Salt Lake supports steady family employment while also working with families on workforce development programs, focusing on both hard and soft skills.

A healthy community thrives when both its residents and businesses are successful. Promise South Salt Lake is committed to collaborating with the local business community to build networks and programs that support a strong, vibrant South Salt Lake.

About Kelli Meranda, Director of Promise south Salt Lake

Promise South Salt Lake has made three promises to our community; that every child has the opportunity to attend and graduate from college, that every resident has a clean, safe home and neighborhood, and that every resident has the opportunity to be healthy and prosper. Kelli has been the Director of Promise South Salt Lake for over 6 years, but with the City and Promise 14 years. Kelli has always held a passion for authentic community engagement, building on the skills and assets of residents, partners, and local institutions to create a stronger, more sustainable future. In her time as Director, Promise South Salt Lake has opened the Best Buy Teen Tech Center and the Community Opportunity Center, she has written and received over 3.1 million in annual grant funding, prioritized pay equity for Promise employees, and provided essential services through the pandemic.
